วันนี้แล้วสินะ วันพิธีพระราชทานปริญญาบัตร วันนี้ตื่นแต่เช้ามืดเหมือนเคย ถึงแม้ว่าจะไม่มีการถ่ายรูปตอนเช้าเหมือนตอนซ้อมใหญ่ก็เหอะ แต่ก็ต้องเผื่อเวลาไว้เผื่อรถติดด้วย วันนี้ไปแบบพกของไปน้อยที่สุด เพราะเขาห้ามนำเครื่องมือสื่อสารเข้าหอประชุม แล้วก็ห้ามเอาเงินเหรียญเข้าอีก แต่ธนบัตรนำเข้าได้ วันนั้นเลยไม่ได้เอากระเป๋าตังค์และโทรศัพท์มือถือไป ตอนจะซื้ออะไรก็เลยต้องคิดให้รอบคอบ ไม่ให้เหลือเศษเหรียญเลย เครื่องประดับต่างๆ เช่น สร้อย ตุ้มหูของนักศึกษาหญิงก็เอาเข้าไม่ได้ ในมธ. คนเยอะเหมือนเคย ขนาดห้องน้ำชายยังเต็มอ่ะ วันนี้ มธ. ท่าพระจัทร์คราคร่ำไปด้วยบัณฑิตจบใหม่และญาติ นักศึกษารุ่นน้อง บริเวณสนามหลวงและหน้ามหาวิทยาลัยก็มีคนเอาของเกี่ยวกับการรับปริญญามาขาย อย่างเช่นตุ๊กตา, ลูกโป่ง, หมอน และทะเบียนรถจำลอง 'จบ 2551' ถัดมาด้านใน บริเวณหอประชุมใหญ่ มีเจ้าหน้าที่รักษาความปลอดภัยจำนวนมาก เพื่ออำนวยความสะดวกให้กับบัณฑิต และพระราชวงศ์ที่จะเสด็จมาพระราชทานปริญญาบัตร
Ah, it's today. The graduation day! I woke up at dawn as if it was the rehearsal day. Even if there was no group photo taking as in the final rehearsal day, I still have to spare the time in case of the traffic jam. I brought less belongings with me today because many thing weren't allowed to be brought into the auditorium, for example, the mobile phone, the coin, necklace, earrings for female students, but the wristwatch is allowed wrist. The people were so crowdy that even the male restroom was full! There are the graduating students with their cousins, the lowerclassmen. Inside Sanam Luang and in front of TU, there're people selling the graduation related merchandises, for example, dolls, balloons, pillow and the fake license plate with 'GRAD 2008' on them. Moving inside, around the auditorium, there're a lot of security guards in charge of protecting the royal family members who'll come today as the chairsperson of the ceremony who'll give the diplomas to the graduating students.
8 โมงเช้า บัณฑิตแต่ละคณะเริ่มไปตามจุดที่นัดพบกันไว้เพื่อตั้งแถว และเดินไปสู่หอประชุม ก่อนเข้าหอประชุมก็มีหลายด่านที่ต้องผ่าน คือ ด่านเจลล้างมือเพื่อป้องกันโรคไข้หวัด 2009 ด่านเครื่องวัดอุณหภูมิ ด่านเครื่องตรวจโลหะ ด่านตรวจเล็บ แล้วจบด้วย ด่านเจลล้างมือด่านที่สอง ยิ่งไปกว่านั้น วันนี้เขายังห้ามเข้าห้องน้ำด้วยเพื่อความเป็นระเบียบเรียบร้อย ห้องน้ำเลยถูกล็อก ดีนะที่ผมไม่ได้ทานอาหารเช้าเยอะ และเข้าห้องน้ำก่อนเข้าหอประชุมแล้ว ไม่งั้น กว่าพิธีจะเสร็จ กว่าจะได้เข้าห้องน้ำก็บ่ายสองโน่น
8AM: The students from each faculty meet each other at their own meeting point to queuing in line before walking to the auditorium. There're many checkpoints we have to go through before entering the auditorium. Those are: Cleaning gel for watching the hands to prevent the 2009 flu, the temperature sensor, the metal detector, nail checking, and finally, another cleaning gel. Moreover, to make the ceremony more properly, entering the restrooms is prohibited so the restrooms are locked. Good thing that I haven't have a lot of breakfast and I have already entered the restroom before coming into the auditorium. Or else, I'll have to wait until 2PM, when the ceremony was finished!
9-11 โมง ระหว่างรอพระราชวงศ์เสด็จฯ มา ในหอประชุมก็อธิบายกำหนดการคร่าวๆ แล้วก็ให้นักศึกษาพักผ่อนตามอัธยาศัย แต่! เข้าห้องน้ำไม่ได้ อย่างที่บอกไปแล้ว และไม่ควรลุกออกจากที่นั่ง สำหรับผม ด้วยความที่ง่วงเพราะตื่นเช้า ผมเลยถือโอกาสหลับจนถึงสิบเอ็ดโมง แล้วก็ตื่นมาเพื่อเตรียมรับเสด็จ
9AM - 11AM: While waiting for the royal family members to come, the brief information about the ceremony was announced. The graduating students can rest but CANNOT go to the restrooms, as I said before. Also, going out from the seat wasn't recommended too. For me, since I'm very sleepy because of waking up very early, I took a nap until 11AM, and woke up for the ceremony.
11:30 น. พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว ทรงโปรดเกล้าโปรดกระหม่อมให้ สมเด็จพระบรมโอรสาธิราชฯ สยามกุฏราชกุมารเสด็จมาเป็นองค์ประธานในพิธีพระราชทานปริญญาบัตรแทนพระองค์ พร้อมด้วยพระเจ้าหลานเธอ พระองค์เจ้าพัชรกิติยาภา แต่ผมจำได้ไม่หมดนะว่าพิธ๊ทั้งหมดมีอะไรบ้าง จำได้ว่ามีการถวายปริญญาวิทยาศาสตร์บัณฑิตกิตติมศักดิ์สาขาการจัดการเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศ ให้สมเด็จพระบรมโอรสาธิราชฯ สยามกุฏราชกุมาร และทรงพระราชทานปริญญาดุษฎีบัณฑิตกิตติมศักดิ์ให้กับผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิอีกหลายท่าน ก่อนที่จะคิวของนักศึกษาแต่ละคณะขึ้นรับพระราชทานปริญญาบัตร ผมได้รับปริญญาบัตร วิทยาศาสตร์บัณฑิต เกียรตินิยมอันดับสองครับ หลังจากรับพระราชทานปริญญาบัตรแล้ว ทุกๆ คนก็ร้องเพลงสรรเสริญพระบารมีและเพลงยูงทอง เพลงประจำมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ สมเด็จพระบรมโอรสาธิราชฯ สยามกุฏราชกุมารกับ พระเจ้าหลานเธอ พระองค์เจ้าพัชรกิติยาภา ทรงเสด็จพักผ่อนตามพระราชอัธยาศัย เพราะพระองค์ยังต้องพระราชทานปริญญาบัตรให้กับนักศึกษาในรอบบ่ายอีก
11:30AM: His Majesty The King Bhumiphol let Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn and Princess Bajrakitiyabha to come instead of him. I cannot remember all steps of the ceremony. The university committee give the Science honorary degree in Technology Management to Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn and then the prince gives the honorary degree to the special guests and then, giving the diploma to the graduating students. I got the diploma in the Bachelor of Science in the 2nd class honour. After giving all the diploma to all the faculty in the morning period. The committee and the students sings the "Sansoen Phra Barami", the Thai Royal anthem, and then the "Yoongthong", Thammasat University's anthem. Then, Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn and Princess Bajrakitiyabha goes to rest in the prepared room because the Prince have to give the diploma to the students in the afternoon period too.
ประมาณบ่ายสองโมงครึ่ง รับปริญญาเสร็จก็นัดพบกับแม่ จะขึ้นรถกลับ แต่แถวนั้นรถติดมาก เลยเดินไปสนามหลวงฝั่งตรงข้าม แล้วเดินต่อที่ราชดำเนินเป็นระยะทางหนึ่งกิโลกว่าๆ ไปถึงร้านแมคโดนัลด์ที่อยู่อนุเสาวรีย์ประชาธิปไตย เป็นแมคโดนัลด์สาขาเดียวในประเทศไทยที่ใช้โทนสีของแถบหน้าร้านเป็นสีน้ำตาล เพื่อให้เข้ากับสีอาคารในบริเวณนั้น แทนที่จะใช้สีแดง-เหลืองอย่างที่อื่นๆ เดินเป็นระยะทางเกือบสองกิโลได้ อ้อ! เกือบลืมไป อนุสาวรีย์ประชาธิปไตยเนี่ยถือว่าเป็นหลักกิโลเมตรที่ 0 ของกรุงเทพมหานคร คู่กับอนุสาวรีย์ชัยสมรภูมิที่เป็นหลักกิโลเมตรที่ 0 ของประเทศไทย หลังจากทานอาหารเที่ยงเสร็จก็ขึ้นแท็กซี่ไปฟิวเจอร์ฯ รังสิต พบกับน้องที่เพิ่งเรียนเสร็จ รับประทานอาหารเย็น แล้วก็กลับถึงบ้านโดยสวัสดิภาพ
About 2:30PM, I meet my mom at the meeting point to take a taxi back home, but the traffic is very bad, so we walk through Sanam Luang to the other side and then walk along the Rajdamnoen Rd. about one kilometers before arriving at the McDonald near the Democracy Monument. It was the only McDonald branch in Thailand that use the brown color bar in the same row as the logo to match with the color of the building nearby. Ah! Almost forget it! The Democracy Monument is considered as the 0th kilometers stone of Bangkok as the Victory Monument is the 0th kilometers stone of Thailand. After having lunch, I and my mom took a taxi to Future Park Rangsit, meet with one of my sister, have a dinner, and finally, arrived at home safely.
