ข่าวล่า มาแรง (จริงเหรอ?) เมื่อไม่นานมานี้ ผมเห็นข่าวนี้ในโทรทัศน์เป็นข่าวเกี่ยวกับนายบารัค โอบาม่าประธานาธิบดีของสหรัฐอเมริกา กำลังให้สัมภาษณ์กับสำนักข่าว CNBC เรื่องปัญหาเศรษฐกิจในประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกาอยู่ภายในทำเนียบขาว โดยมีคุณจอห์น ฮาร์วู้ด เป็นผู้ดำเนินรายการ อยู่ๆ ก็มีแมลงวันตัวหนึ่งบินเข้ามารบกวนในขณะที่กำลังสัมภาษณ์อยู่ โอบาม่าพูดออกมาว่า "Get out of here." (ออกไปซะ) แล้วก็ปัดแมลงวันออกไป แต่เจ้าแมลงวันก็บินมาเกาะที่มือของโอบาม่าอีกครั้ง โอบาม่าก็เลยค่อยๆ ยกมืออีกข้างขึ้นช้าๆ แล้วก็ตบลงไปที่ตัวแมลงวันอย่างรวดเร็ว! แน่นอนว่าแมลงวันตัวนั้นต้องตาย หลังจากตบแล้วโอบาม่าก็พูดว่า "Now, where were we?" (เมื้อกี้พูดถึงไหนแล้วนะ) แล้วต่อด้วย "That was pretty impressive, wasn't it? I got the sucker." (ใช้ได้เลยใช่ไหมล่ะ ผมตบแมลงวันได้)
A few days ago, I've seen this news. It's about Mr. Barack Obama, the preseident of the United States, is being interviewed by CNBC news agency about the current economics crisis in the White House with Mr. John Harwood as an interviewer. Suddenly, a fly come in and interrupt the interview. Obama said "Get out of here." and brush away the fly, but the fly come and lands on Obama's hand. Then, Obama slowly raise one of his hand and swat onto the fly! Indeed, the fly's dead. Then Obama said "That was pretty impressive, wasn't it? I got the sucker.".

Indeed, someone will be against this. They're the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). Mr. Bruce Friedrich, PETA's spokesperson said "We support compassion even for the most curious, smallest and least sympathetic animals. We believe that people, where they can be compassionate, should be, for all animals." PETA also send Obama the Katcha Bug Humane Bug Catcher, a device which can be used to catch a bug and then release it elsewhere.

Anyways, this incident shows us that to be able to do this, Mr. Obama must have a really good hand and eye coordination. There's a research said that within 100 milliseconds the fly spots the swatter, the fly can calculate the distance to fly out safely from the swatter! Moreover, a fly's eye allows it can see the thing in almost 360 degrees around itself!
