เฮ้อ... ช่วงนี้อากาศทันแปลกๆ แฮะ มีทั้งร้อน ทั้งผนตก วันฝนตกก็ทำให้ชุ่มฉ่ำ แต่ฝนตกมากเกินไปก็เป็นปัญหาอีก คนวิ่งหลบฝนกันให้วุ่น แล้วยิ่งถ้าเป็นช่วงเวลาเลิกงานละก็ รถแท็กซี่จะเป็นที่นิยมเป็นพิเศษเลย ส่วนวันที่ร้อนก็ร้อนซะแทบไม่อยากจะทำอะไร อยากจะเก็บตัวอยู่แต่ในห้อง เปิดแอร์เย็นๆ แล้วก็นอนสบายๆ
Ah, we've got a strange weather here, sometimes it's hot and sometimes it's rain. The rainy day is great for the cold weather, but too much rain and it could be the problem. The pedestrians have to find the cover all over. To make matter worse, if it rain in the ruch hours, the texis will always be occupied. Some days is too hot that makes me don't want to do anything. I'd like to stay in the air-conditioned room and have some sleep.
ว่าไปแล้ว ก็ไปเปิดแอร์สักหน่อยดีกว่า...
That being said, I'd better turn the air-conditioner on...

เอ๋ เสียงอะไรกันนะ สงสัยข้างบ้านกำลังก่อสร้างอะไรอีกแล้วล่ะสิ... แต่ เสียงมันไม่น่าจะเป็นแบบนี้แฮะ รู้สึกเหมือนเสียงจะมาจากในห้องเรานี่แหละ... เอ๊ะ! หรือว่า...
Hm? What sound is that? Probably the next door doing the construction again...but the sound shouldn't be like this. It seems that the sound was coming from inside my own room. Ah, don't tell me that...

เครื่องปรับอากาศในห้องผมเองครับ (ดูผ่านๆ นึกว่าเศษเหล็กซะอีก - -') แอร์เครื่องนี้ รู้สึกจะยี่ห้อ National (เก่ามากๆ เลยนะเนี่ย!) บางชิ้นส่วน เช่น โครงพลาสติกด้านนอกและแผ่นเปลี่ยนทิศทางลมด้านในถูกเอาออกไป เพราะว่าพ่อบอกว่าจะได้ "ง่ายต่อการทำความสะอาด และลดเสียงดัง" มีกระดาษติดอยู่หนึ่งแผ่น ติดไว้ใช้เป็นตัวกำหนดทิศทางลมแทน แล้วเมื่อไม่นานมานี้ แอร์ในห้องของน้องก็ดันมาเสียไปอีกเครื่อง (แต่ในขณะที่เขียนอยู่นี่ แอร์ซ่อมเสร็จหมดแล้วครับ) พ่อก็เลยบอกว่าจะให้อา ซึ่งเป็นช่างซ่อมอุปกรณ์ไฟฟ้า มาช่วยซ่อมให้ ผมก็เลยคิดว่า ในขณะที่เขากำลังซ่อมแอร์ห้องน้องอยู่ เราเองก็ทำการล้างแอร์ของเราบ้างดีกว่า ถึงว่าเป็นการลดโลกร้อนไปในตัวด้วย
That was the air conditioner in my room. (Woah, thought it was the metal scrap!) I think its brand is National, very old. Some parts, for example, the plastic case, and the vane, have been removed because my dad said that it'll be "easy to clean and reduce the noise". A sheet of paper has been used as the vane instead. Also, not so long ago, my sister's air-con is just broken. (But they're fixed already at the time I write this entry!) Dad said that he'll invite the uncle, which is the repairman, over here to do some fixing. At that moment, I think that I'll also clean the air-con in my room while they were fixing the air-con in my sister's room. It could also help reduce the global warming!

Finally, the operation day has come.
วันวันหนึ่งตอนต้นเดือนพฤษภาคม...
One day, at the beginning of May...
เครื่องมือช่างต่างๆ ถูกนำออกมาจากห้องเก็บของ
The electrician tools have been brought out of the storage room.
พ่อกับอาก็ซ่อมแอร์ของน้องไป ผมก็ไปช่วยบ้างเป็นครั้งคราว แล้วก็เริ่มทำความสะอาดแอร์ในห้องตัวเองบ้าง ก็เริ่มโดยการยกเครื่องดูดฝุ่นขึ้นมาชั้นบน แล้วก็ปูกระดาษหนังสือพิมพ์ไว้ด้านล่างของแอร์ ซึ่งก็ดันตรงกับเตียงผมพอดี! ตอนดูดฝุ่นก็ลำบากหน่อย เพราะต้องคอยตั้งเครื่องดูดฝุ่นขึ้น เพื่อที่จะได้ดูดฝุ่นถึง ก็ทำให้เมื่อยมือพอสมควร ตรงหัวของเครื่องดูดฝุ่นก็ดีหน่อย มีหัวเป็นแปรง ทำให้ใช้ถูทำความสะอาดได้พอสมควร แล้วก็มีฝุ่นร่วงลงมาด้วย
My dad and uncle were repairing my sister's air-con. I sometimes go and help them, and than I clean my air-con. I started by bringing the vacuum cleaner up to my room and place the sheet of old newspaper below the air-con, where my bed was placed! The vacuum cleaning is quite difficult. I had to lift it up so that it'll reach the air-con. The head of the vacuum cleaner was a brush, which was quite good to rub the dust out.
หลังจากใช้เครื่องดูดฝุ่นไปได้สักพัก ก็ได้เวลาทำความสะอาดให้ละเอียดกว่าเดิม ด้วยการใช้แปรงขนโลหะ ถ้าเอาไปใช้แปรงฟันล่ะก็ รับรองว่าปากจะสะอาด แทบจะไม่มีฟันติดอยู่เลย เหอะๆ ก็ใช้เวลาในขั้นนี้นานกว่าตอนใช้เครื่องดูดฝุ่น เพราะว่าหัวแปรงเล็กกว่ามาก แล้วก็ถูให้ฝุ่นหลุดออกจากไส้กรอก เอ๊ย ไส้กรองได้ง่ายกว่าด้วย
After the vacuum cleaning process, it's time for a more thorough cleaning by the use of the metal brush. If the matal brush was used as the toothbrush, I'm sure that you mouth'll be clean and tooth-free for sure!
รูปด้านในเครื่องปรับอากาศเผยให้เห็นไส้กรองที่ผมกำลังขัดอยู่ ตอนขัดก็ต้องคอยจับไส้กรองเอาไว้ด้วย ไม่งั้น ถ้าขัดแรงเกิน ไส้กรองจะหมุน แล้วจะจำไม่ได้ว่าขัดไปถึงไหนแล้ว ในระหว่างที่ขัดอยู่ พ่อกับอาก็ซ่อมแอร์ในห้องน้องแล้วก็ล้างพัดลมระบายอากาศเสร็จพอดี ก็เลยจะมาล้างพัดลมระบายอากาศในห้องผมบ้าง เราเองคงไม่ต้องออกไปช่วยล้างหรอก คนเยอะ เดี๋ยวเกะกะ ว่าแล้วก็กลับไปขัดไส้กรองดีกว่า...
From the picture below, you could see the cylindical air filter, which I'm rubbing. I also have to touch it to make it stay still, or else the air filter will spin and I can't remember the area where I've h=just cleaned! While I'm doing the cleaning, my dad and uncle just finished repairing my sister's air-con. They were going to clean my air-con's ventilating fan next. Let them do that, I think. Too much people on the roof is dangerous. Better go back to the cleaning...
ใช้เวลาอีกสักพักก็ขัดฝุ่นออกเกือบหมด ก็เลยเริ่มเปิดแอร์เพื่อลองดูว่าเสียงจะเบาลง หรือแอร์จะเย็นลงกว่าเดิมหรือไม่ แล้วก็ไปนั่งพื้นรอในอีกมุมหนึ่งของห้อง เงยหน้าขึ้นไปมองแอร์ที่เพิ่งทำความสะอาดเสร็จ
Not so long, the dust has been rubbed out. So I decided to turn on the air-con to see the improvements in noise and temperature. I sat down on the other corner of the room, looking up to the air-con that was just being cleaned.
ใช้เวลารอไม่นานนัก แอร์ก็เริ่มเดินเครื่อง แล้วก็เป็นไปตามคาด ฝุ่นผงต่างๆ ก็เริ่มปลิวออกมา ปลิวลงสู่กระดาษหนังสือพิมพ์ที่ปูเตรียมเอาไว้ รวมกับฝุ่นที่ร่วงลงมาเมื่อตอนดูดฝุ่น ผ่านไปประมาณสัก 5 นาที ฝุ่นก็ร่วงลงมาน้อยลง แต่ก็ยังมีร่วงลงมาเรื่อยๆ ต้องสักครึ่งชั่วโมงโน่น ฝุ่นถึงร่วงลงมาเกือบหมด
Several seconds later, the air-con started functioning. And as I expected, some dust has been blown out from the air-con and stopped on the newspaper sheets, together with the dust that was blown out when I did the vacuum cleaning. Five minutes later, the less dust has been blown out, but they still being blown out continuously. It takes about half an hour before no more dust comes out.
ฝุ่นกระจายมาเต็มบริเวณที่ปูกระดาษหนังสือพิมพ์เอาไว้ แล้วก็มีบางส่วนที่ไปตกบนที่นอนด้วย เอ...เราจะนอนไปคันไปหรือเปล่านะ แล้วก็น่าจะมีฝุ่นบางส่วนตกลงไปใต้เตียงด้วย นี่เป็นรูปใต้เตียงผม เก็บโครงพลาสติกเอาไว้ใต้เตียง เฮ้อ มันสกปรกขนาดนี้เลยเหรอเนี่ย ปกติก็ไม่ค่อยได้ถูใต้เตียงสักเท่าไรด้วยสิ
The dust spreads over the area where the newspaper was place, and also some part of my bed. Hm...will I have a itchy sleep this night? This is under my bed where the plastic case was kept. Ah, this much dust. And, I didn't clean the floor under my bed so much too.
เอาล่ะ ถ้างั้นก็เอาโครงออกมา แล้วก็ปัดฝุ่น แล้วก็เช็ดด้วยผ้าชุบน้ำสักหน่อยดีกว่า จากนั้นก็เอาฝุ่นทั้งหมดที่ได้ในวันนี้มากองรวมกัน
Alright, better brings the case out and clean with the water. Then, I put all the dust got today in one place.
ยี้!!! สกปรกที่สุด!!!
Ewww! Gross! What a huge dust bunnies!

หลังจากนั้นก็ทำการดูดฝุ่นที่ตกค้างบนเตียงอีกครั้งก่อนที่จะเอาผ้าคลุมเตียงมาใส่ เอากระดาษหนังสือพิมพ์ไปทิ้ง แล้วก็บอกลาคุณอา ก็เป็นอันเสร็จสิ้นปฏิบัติการล้างแอร์ลดโลกร้อนของผมครับ!
Then, I vacuum cleaned the remaining dust on the bed before put on the cover, dumping the newspaper, say goodbye to my uncle, and that's the end of the air-cleaning-to-reduce-global-warming operation!
ผลปรากฏว่าเครื่องปรับอากาศทำงานเงียบลง แล้วลมที่ออกมาก็เย็นกว่าเดิมมาก แต่อีกสักเดือนสองเดือนก็คงเริ่มมีฝุ่นเกาะ แล้วก็ต้องทำความสะอาดอีกครั้งหนึ่ง
The outcome was good, the air-con is more silent, the wind was cooler. Also, I might have to clean it again after two or three months.
สุดท้ายนี้ก็อยากจะขอเชิญชวนให้ทุกๆ คนมาทำความสะอาดแอร์กันอย่างน้อยสองเดือนครั้ง แต่ไม่ต้องถึงกับทำแบบผมหรอกครับ แค่ถอกแผ่นกรองอากาศมาดูดฝุ่นแล้วก็ล้างก็พอแล้ว แล้วถ้าวันไหนที่ฝนตกก็เปิดแอร์แค่ให้ห้องมีความเย็น ก่อนนอนก็ปิดแอร์ หันมาเปิดพัดลมแทน ก็จะเป็นการช่วยชาติประหยัดพลังงานแล้วก็ลดโลกร้อนได้ด้วยครับ!
Finally, I'd like to invite you all to cleaning the air-con at least once every two months. You don't have to do the thorough cleaning like this, you can just clean the air filter sheet, and turn on only the fan in the rainy and cold days. These ways, you could help save your own country and reduce the global warming!

Then, I vacuum cleaned the remaining dust on the bed before put on the cover, dumping the newspaper, say goodbye to my uncle, and that's the end of the air-cleaning-to-reduce-global-warming operation!
ผลปรากฏว่าเครื่องปรับอากาศทำงานเงียบลง แล้วลมที่ออกมาก็เย็นกว่าเดิมมาก แต่อีกสักเดือนสองเดือนก็คงเริ่มมีฝุ่นเกาะ แล้วก็ต้องทำความสะอาดอีกครั้งหนึ่ง
The outcome was good, the air-con is more silent, the wind was cooler. Also, I might have to clean it again after two or three months.
สุดท้ายนี้ก็อยากจะขอเชิญชวนให้ทุกๆ คนมาทำความสะอาดแอร์กันอย่างน้อยสองเดือนครั้ง แต่ไม่ต้องถึงกับทำแบบผมหรอกครับ แค่ถอกแผ่นกรองอากาศมาดูดฝุ่นแล้วก็ล้างก็พอแล้ว แล้วถ้าวันไหนที่ฝนตกก็เปิดแอร์แค่ให้ห้องมีความเย็น ก่อนนอนก็ปิดแอร์ หันมาเปิดพัดลมแทน ก็จะเป็นการช่วยชาติประหยัดพลังงานแล้วก็ลดโลกร้อนได้ด้วยครับ!
Finally, I'd like to invite you all to cleaning the air-con at least once every two months. You don't have to do the thorough cleaning like this, you can just clean the air filter sheet, and turn on only the fan in the rainy and cold days. These ways, you could help save your own country and reduce the global warming!
